Mr. BBBH has an impressive range of songs and his performance is always entertaining. When Mr. BBBH is on the steel drum, you can close your eyes and smell the ocean breeze as the steel drum sings along with him.

Mr. BBBH (Jerry Fleury-Charles) was born in the small town of St. Louis du Nord in the northwest of Haiti. One of three boys and six sisters, Jerry has always been a natural-born "star", beginning with dancing at 8 years old and playing in the church band at age 11.

He came to the US in 1979 to play drums with Pico Express, his cousin's band. Two years later, he replaced the guitar player and was on his way.

He has since played with popular Haitian bands including:

  • Pico,
  • Blouson Vert,
  • Cosmorama,
  • Almega,
  • Macho Band,
  • Lucien and the Islanders,
  • Rodrigue Milien and the Combite Creole,
  • Jules George and the Mighty Monarch,
  • Toto Necessite.

In 1989, Jerry started his own successful group, Seven Stars. He currently tours with his latest musical group, the B-Sharp Duo or as a solo artist, Mr. B.B.B.H.

Jerry believes the biggest influences on his music have come from the Haitian musician, Herve and the big band, Tropicana. However, over the years, Jerry has developed a style that is completely his own; a style that needs to be heard to be appreciated.

Jerry now lives in Lewes, Delaware and plays in many clubs in the area. He is also available for private parties.

His latest one-man production is a 2-CD set called Women which features steel drums in renditions of popular old and new Caribbean rhythms. He expects that his next CD will be geared to children and will once again feature steel drums...one more step in the evolution of this talented musician and entertainer.
